I am a front-end developer with 4 years of experience as an English instructor at the secondary level and implementing techology into educational settings. I am a creative within and beyond the classroom from lesson plans that have students use their own problem-solving skills to coding websites and taking photos and editing them in Photoshop. I currenly am based in Oklahoma, USA with my corgi named Gizmo (after the Gremlins character of the same name) and my loving family.

I have learned front-end development in many workshops from SheCodes. SheCodes offers many workshops that are interesting, engaging, and provide hands-on experience with coding--which I can appreciate as someone who is a quick learner if you let me mess around with it. There are many small challenges that help build to big skills and projects alongsides homework and deadlines that help with structured learning and real-life deadline restrictions.

As an English major, there are many reasons why I enjoy coding. One of which has to do with the very same reason I am learning Korean as a hobby, I enjoy the challenge and learning how the functions of each language (coding and Korean) work to present a clear message. The other reason comes from the fact that I am a writer and enjoy sharing information in various creative ways, coding gives me the chance to do just that in a visual format.
